§ 42-8. Emergencies and enforcement.

  • (a)

    During an emergency which by its nature calls for the service of the fire department, the fire officer in charge, with the assistance of the chief of police or his representative, shall have the authority to issue summons to any violator of the provisions of this chapter.

    (b)

    The chief of police is authorized to enforce this chapter and nothing contained in this section shall be construed in such a manner as to limit or curtail his authority as the chief law enforcement officer.
