§ 42-9. Moving buildings, structures, trailers, or mobile homes on municipal streets.

  • (a)

    It is unlawful to pull a building or structure or a trailer or mobile home on any municipal street without first obtaining a permit therefor from the municipal clerk.

    (b)

    Upon application of any person for a permit to pull a building or structure or a trailer or mobile home upon any municipal street, the village clerk shall:

    (1)

    Ascertain the intended location of the building or structure or trailer or mobile home;

    (2)

    Ensure that the proposed location of the building or structure or the trailer or mobile home complies with all village ordinances if the proposed location is within the village; and

    (3)

    Collect $5.00 from the applicant before issuing a permit authorizing such movement.

    (c)

    It is unlawful to pull a building or structure or a trailer or mobile home on any municipal street without being escorted by municipal police.
