§ 6-4. Dogs running at large; seizure and impoundment.

It shall be unlawful for a dog to roam at large within the village. Any dog observed at large, whether properly vaccinated or not, will be seized and impounded. In accordance with law, the dog shall be kept at the pound for the required period of time, and if not claimed, will then be destroyed. The owner of the dog is responsible for all charges related to the upkeep of the dog at, and the release of the dog from, the pound.
