§ 44-59. Permits for sewerage and installations.

  • (a)

    Persons engaged in the business of installing sewerage systems. No person shall engage in the business or practice of installing, emptying, or cleaning septic tanks, cesspools, vaults, or similar facilities without first obtaining a written permit to operate from the state health officer or duly authorized representative. Said permit shall be for a period of one year.

    (b)

    Compliance with chapter 13 of the state sanitary code. All such work done by such person shall comply with chapter 13 of the state sanitary code, or the permit shall be revoked.

    (c)

    Disposal area approved. Persons engaged in emptying or cleaning sewerage facilities must have a disposal area approved by the state health officer or duly authorized representative.
