§ 42-3. Operating motor vehicle not covered by required security.

(a)

No person shall knowingly operate a motor vehicle nor shall any owner allow a motor vehicle to be operated when such motor vehicle is subject to the Motor Vehicle Safety Responsibility Law and is not covered by the required security.

(b)

Whoever violates this section shall, upon conviction, be fined not more than $500.00.
