§ 2-155. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Domicile means the corporate limits of the village.

    In-state travel means any travel within the borders of the state and travel through an adjacent state between points within this state when such travel is the most efficient route.

    International travel means any travel outside the 48 contiguous states.

    Out-of-state travel means any travel to another state within the continental United States. The term "out-of-state travel" does not include travel through an adjacent state when this is the most efficient route between points within this state.

    Travel means leaving and returning to the domicile of the village for a purpose related to the business of the village, including attending a seminar, conference, or meeting.

    Traveler means an elected official, municipal employee, or other person authorized pursuant to this article.
