§ 2-47. Municipal elections; terms.

(a)

The terms of the elected officials of the village shall be four years.

(b)

The election for mayor, board, chief of police and any other municipal official hereafter established by law shall be held on the same date as the 1988 congressional elections and shall be held in conjunction therewith every four years hence.

(c)

Elected officials of this village shall take office on January 1 following their election.
