§ 2-2. Time limitation on franchises.

Any franchise granted by the village for a purpose provided in telephone, telegraph, telecommunication, electric transmission and distribution, water or gas transportation and distribution systems shall not be exclusive, nor be for longer period than 60 years and shall be subject to any terms, conditions, and stipulations prescribed by the board of aldermen of the village.
